Y posts are roll-formed from ordinary carbon steel for the New Zealand and Australian market, conforming to American standard A702-89, with a generally black-painted or galvanized finish for quick, easy installation. Y posts with lace are supplied for the Israel market.

It features an attractive design and easy installation: unlike traditional guardrails that require mounting clips, the mesh panel is connected to the post simply by hanging it in place, improving installation efficiency.
